The Botswana Defence Force is looking forward to employing suitably qualified Non-Uniformed Personnel for the following positions:
SENIOR CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST D4 X3 – TENABLE AT SSKB, THEBEPHATSHWA AIR BASE, AND 2 BRIGADE GROUP
Qualifications: Experience: Salary scale: Leave: Certification: Benefits:
Master of Arts / Science in Clinical Psychology or related field 2 years experience or relevant at C1 Salary Scale.
D4 (P232, 140 – P255, 876)
30 working days per annum
Must be registered with Botswana Health Professions Council
Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% while Employee pays 50%)
Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% while Employee pays 5%) c. Housing and Upkeep Allowance of P309.00 per month
d. Scarce Skill Allowance of 30% of basic monthly salary
Job Purpose: To diagnose mental and emotional disorders and formulate and administer programs of treatment in the Botswana Defence Force.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
a. Provide advice on the implementation of clinical psychology policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards and governing instruments.
b. Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes to improve the psychological well-being of patients.
c. Provide training to other health professionals on psychological, emotional, and behavioral problems in order to create awareness.
d. Provide consultation to other health professionals to encourage a psychological approach in their work.
e. Carry out applied research to create a body of knowledge and evidence-based practice.
f. Monitor client progress on a regular basis to ensure a full recovery.
g. Carry out complex psychological assessments sensitively and independently with a broad range of patient groups including individual psychometric testing sessions. Key Competencies:
