•The General Manager is responsible for maintaining health and safety quality controls, budgeting and forecasting, meeting sales targets, staff welfare, supplier engagements, stock control, cost management and optimizing profits. The General manager reports to the Directorship.
•BGCSE. Diploma/Degree in business management or Commerce will be an added advantage.
•Any relevant certificates in restaurant management, health and safety quality controls and customer
•service will bean added advantage
•Knowledge of GAAP or any hospitality system Excellent computer skills
 
 
EXPERIENCE
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•Experience in the restaurant business (not a franchise) at general manager level for at least 3 years
•Experience in customer service and quality assurance
•Overall restaurant experience of 10years+
 
FOOD SAFETY
•Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness.
•Maintenance of kitchen, bar and dining areas.
•Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, local hospitality laws and ordinances.
 
FINANCIAL
•Optimize organization operations and ensure restaurant is well maintained
•Preparation for operational budgets – restaurant maintenance
•Ensure segregation of duties in stock management and maintain efficient stock controls and valuation.
•Ensure efficiency in customer delivery service by staff
•Cost management and containment
•Ensure growth by meeting sales targets
•Event management and planning
•Stakeholder relationship management
•Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
•Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
•Plan and coordinate menus
•Identify and evaluate competitors
•Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
•Work with Corporate office staff for efficient provisioning, purchasing of supplies, cost efficiency methods and tax planning.
•Ensure timely banking of cash receipts
•Capturing invoices supplier invoicesand reconciliation.
